Terms and Conditions

Welcome to iamcar.chat. By accessing or using our service you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

Section 01

Definitions

iamcar.chat — An AI platform for car dealers that turns a vehicle listing into a public page with AI chat, accessible through a unique link.

User / Dealer — Any individual or entity that creates an account and uses iamcar.chat to publish cars.

Dealer page — The public landing associated with the User's unique slug (e.g. iamcar.chat/your-slug), with a list of published cars and an AI sales-assistant chat.

Car page — The public page of a single car (iamcar.chat/your-slug/make-model-year), powered by an AI trained on the listing uploaded by the User.

Visitor / Buyer — Any person accessing a Dealer page or Car page and interacting with the AI.

Message — A single exchange (question + AI reply) within a conversation. Messages are the unit used to measure service usage.

Listing / Knowledge Base — The content uploaded by the User (PDF, text, description) used to train the AI of the Car page.

Section 02

Access and Use

Registration: To create an account, Users must provide truthful, accurate and complete information, and undertake to keep it up to date.

Account security: Users are responsible for the security of their credentials and for all activities carried out through their account. Any unauthorized access must be promptly notified to [email protected].

Permitted use: Users undertake to use iamcar.chat in compliance with applicable laws and the rights of third parties.

It is strictly prohibited to use iamcar.chat for:

  • illegal, unlawful or fraudulent activities
  • uploading false, misleading or inaccurate vehicle listings
  • impersonating another person, dealer or entity
  • publishing offensive, discriminatory or harassing content
  • unauthorized access attempts or platform tampering
  • abusive automated use of the service
  • trading vehicles of unlawful provenance or not compliant with applicable regulations
Section 03

How the Service Works

iamcar.chat allows Users to:

  • upload a car listing (PDF or text) to train a dedicated AI
  • obtain a unique public page for each car (iamcar.chat/your-slug/car)
  • have an aggregated dealer page covering the entire catalog
  • let Visitors chat with the AI to get information about the car, with replies in their own language
  • enrich knowledge chunks with images, video and links (logbook, service records, extra photos)
  • view statistics on conversations and visitor interactions

The quality of AI replies depends on the quality, completeness and accuracy of the listing uploaded by the User. iamcar.chat does not guarantee that the AI accurately reflects the vehicle's characteristics in all cases and does not replace direct inspection and verification of the vehicle by the Buyer.

Section 04

Plans and Payments

iamcar.chat offers the following subscription plans:

Message limits: messages are counted per calendar month and reset on the 1st of each month. Unused messages do not roll over.

Car limits: the maximum number of published cars is determined by the plan. New cars cannot be published beyond the plan limit until an upgrade is performed or existing cars are removed.

Billing: Fleet and Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Payments are securely processed via Stripe. iamcar.chat does not store or directly handle Users' payment card data.

Refunds: subscription fees are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. For refund requests, please contact [email protected].

Price changes: iamcar.chat reserves the right to change subscription prices. Users will be notified at least 30 days before any change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new prices.

Section 05

Downgrade and Plan Change Policy

Users can downgrade or change plan at any time from their Account area.

Important: when downgrading to a plan with lower limits, the following rules apply automatically:
  • cars already published remain live and accessible to Visitors, even if they exceed the new plan's quota
  • new cars cannot be published until the number of published cars drops below the plan limit
  • the monthly message limit is enforced immediately on the current cycle
  • access to advanced statistics is limited to the new plan's quota
  • the higher-tier subscription (Fleet or Pro) is canceled in Stripe and will not renew at the next cycle

Switching between Fleet and Pro is performed via update of the existing Stripe subscription, with automatic proration of the payment.

We recommend exporting or saving important data (chat history, stats) before confirming a downgrade.

Section 06

Intellectual Property

Platform rights: all rights to the software, interface, brand, design, AI models and infrastructure of iamcar.chat remain the exclusive property of iamcar.chat.

User content: Users retain ownership of the content they upload (listings, descriptions, images, videos, links). By uploading content, Users grant iamcar.chat a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store and use that content solely to provide the service.

AI-generated replies: AI replies are based on the listing uploaded by the User. iamcar.chat does not claim ownership of AI-generated replies, but does not warrant their accuracy, completeness or consistency with the actual vehicle.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that uploaded content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights (e.g. someone else's photos, copyrighted descriptions).

Section 07

Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of warranties: the service is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties, including those of accuracy, reliability or fitness for a specific purpose.

In no event shall iamcar.chat be liable for:

  • inaccuracies or errors in AI-generated replies
  • discrepancies between AI-stated characteristics and the actual condition of the vehicle
  • indirect, incidental or consequential damages
  • loss of data or content caused by technical issues or User actions
  • damages arising from unauthorized access to a User's account
  • misuse of the service or generated content by Users or Visitors
  • temporary unavailability of the service for maintenance or technical issues
  • disputes between dealer User and Buyer regarding the sale of the vehicle

Users remain solely responsible for the content they publish and how the public page and AI are used for commercial purposes. iamcar.chat is not party to any sale transaction between dealer and buyer.

Section 08

Changes to Terms

iamcar.chat reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with the updated "Last updated" date.

For substantial changes, registered Users will be notified by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you can delete your account before the effective date.

Section 09

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the use of iamcar.chat shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, Italy.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
